AdTech has been around now for more than a decade, and the vast majority of solutions are focused on helping Advertisers optimize their ad spend. This is great. DSPs, Ad Exchanges, Dynamic Ad Servers, and but just a few of the services out there to help Advertisers find new segments of customers, drive more sales, and lower their cost of acquisition. All of these services are awesome, and we want to see more of them.
oPub is focused on a different, but equally important group within the Ad Tech stack, the Publisher. With all of the services helping Advertisers, may Publishers end up getting squeezed and end up with less revenue than they deserve for the audience they have been able to attract and retain.
